Cryogenic Ball Valves
Valland cryogenic ball valves are designed for LNG and other low-temperature services, with an operating envelope from -200 °C to +200 °C. Each valve is cryogenic tested in-house to BS 6364 at -196 °C, using Valland’s own cryogenic test facility — one of the special testing capabilities available at the Piantedo plant.
The cryogenic range mirrors the standard ball valve families: trunnion mounted (model A11C), floating (model A21C) and top entry (model A31C), in side entry and top entry execution, full or reduced bore, forged or cast body per ASME B16.34. Cryogenic design features include live-loaded packing, pressure relief of the body cavity, low operating torque and anti-static devices. Seat inserts are available in PCTFE (Kel-F), TFM and other polymers, or in metal-to-metal execution.
Valves are fire-safe designed per API 607, tested for fugitive emissions per ISO 15848, and can be supplied with flanged, butt-weld or socket-weld ends, including custom face-to-face lengths and pup ends on customer requirement.
