Non-standard products have been Valland’s specialty since the company was founded in 2006. When a project requirement cannot be met by a catalogue valve — because of face-to-face constraints, weight limits, special connections, unusual media or extreme operating conditions — Valland’s engineering team designs a dedicated solution from scratch, with full in-house Finite Element Analysis to validate it.

The cases presented in this section are real projects, delivered and in service: a 34" 900# short pattern ball valve with a face-to-face only 88 mm longer than a standard 30" valve; the compact annulus valves supplied for the BP Valhall field; and a 16 kg titanium double ball valve designed to be handled by hand on an offshore platform.

These examples illustrate the approach rather than the limits of the range: every special design starts from the customer’s constraint, not from a standard drawing.
